Jackson Gore at Okemo will soon be covered with snow. Opening Day (weather permitting, of course) is November 21.

Weather permitting, Okemo Mountain Resort plans to open for the season on Saturday, November 21.  “We’re ready,” says Okemo VP and General Manager Bruce Schmidt. “All we need now is some cooperation from Mother Nature in the form of cold temperatures.”

Okemo has recently taken delivery on a number of mobile air compressors. They are now in place and have been tested. Out on the mountain, 30 new Rangertower guns are ready,  padding  in place around their bases to cushion wayward skiers and riders.
The Northstar Express Quad has new seat pads.  Terrain park features have received a fresh coat of purple paint and are ready to take their positions on the snow in the six terrain parks.

As always, early in the season Mother Nature has the final say, so call the snow phone: (802-228-1600)  or check the website before you pack the car and head out .
