At 1 a.m. today, Killington turned on their snowmaking with a number of guns going on Killington Peak’s Reason trail in the Northridge area. By later Tuesday afternoon, resort officials expect to have a number of Low Energy snow guns going on Rime and Upper Great Northern trails.

This is the real thing, not a test…they’re planning to have this start the base for the season!  Mother Nature also helped out with 4 inches of new snow at Killington Peak and 1.5 inches at K-1 Lodge.  With forecasts giving overnight temperatures for the area from the mid-20s down into the teens, they’re currently expecting to make snow for at least 4 to 6 days.  This is the real deal, boys & girls…get your skis and boards out and tuned!
